St. Paul's Lutheran Church is Hosting
A Concert of the
Davis Community Chorale
at 4 PM, Saturday, September 12, 2015
On September 12th at 4:00 pm, in honor of Woodland's Stroll through History day, St. Paul's Lutheran Church is hosting a concert of the Davis Community Chorale. The Davis Community Chorale is a community music ensemble that educates and enriches the community with quality performances of great choral literature. The Chorale's varied repertoire ranges from Renaissance a cappella pieces to choral works by modern composers accompanied by professional instrumentalists. The Davis Chorale was founded in 1978 as a community chorus, providing an opportunity for adults to sing oratorio, sacred and secular works. Members include small business owners, professors, students, state workers, engineers, music teachers, and retirees. Besides local concerts, the Chorale has sung internationally in Vienna, the Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Italy.
The "Cookie Feast" follows the performance. So join us for cookies and punch afterwards. So after your "Stroll", take a break from the heat, plan to come and bring a friend. Admission is free. All good will offerings will go directly to support the Davis Community Chorale.
You may choose to help support this community event with bake cookies, usher, setup, cleanup, etc. Contact Joy Van Camp for signups.
